Healthier Me 2014 – STEPS TO A BETTER ME!

Hey everyone! Working towards my fitness/health goals. Here are some steps/things I’ve been doing to better myself & accomplish what I want.

  1. Journal, blog, Tumblr & a calendar – Writing or typing about my goals has helped a ton. It’s reminding me to focus on what I need to do to achieve what I want & what I need to avoid. Keeps me thinking. Each time I’ve been to the gym, I’ve written it down on my calendar, that way I can count the times I went & the times I skipped. Showing progress & drive, is keeping me motivated & proud. Lastly, Tumblr, my favorite….. Post what you love & right now for me, it’s fitness & healthy food. Since I’m following health themed blogs, I’m constantly looking at pictures of healthy goodness & believe it or not, it’s making my drive stronger & making me want it more. I’m seeing pictures of fit women, transformations & healthy quotes. The more I see, the more I tell myself I can & I will. I was the only person holding myself back & now I’m moving forward to a better me!
  2. Keep drinking water, I’m aware of my water intake & definitely drinking a lot more. I hate drinking water, I don’t know why, but I do. So drink water after you get the mail, after a walk, during a phone call. I just keep reminding myself to do it & it works. Water is great stuff & your body needs it to be healthy!
  3. Since I’ve been more active, I’ve been happier. Something I do to boost my mood is yoga & deep breathing, both make me feel calm, relaxed & brand new. Another thing is funny pictures, anything that will make you laugh. Friends also always boost my mood. Laughing is key, happiness is key.
  4. More days spent makeup free, give your face a break. I’ve been easier on my skin this year & it’s been more clear. Your skin will thank you. Deep breathing & relaxation also helps skin problems. Stress plays a big part on acne. Relax some, the body needs it.
  5. Better products, better food, better everything. I am going to be more aware of what I buy, put on my skin & eat this year. More natural, more organic & more green. I’m going to try healthy homemade face masks, oatmeal, yogurt & so on. There is so many you can do & they truly benefit the skin. When I say better food, I mean more green, more clean & cut out fast food. Eat portion sizes & ignore sweets & processed foods when they’re calling my name.
  6. STOP SNACKING & STOP EATING FOOD LATE. My two biggest enemies. Conquer these two & it’ll help you lose weight.

There you have it, a few steps I’ve taken to achieve a better me. I’m sure I could go on for days, but for now you get it. I can’t wait to see what I’ve accomplished months from now!
